The Balancing Act
Leo’s wiggly tooth March 9th, 2010
Leonardo has a wiggly tooth. I am rather shocked at how emotional I feel about this. I feel even more nostalgic that my son is growing up too fast now about this tooth than I felt on his first day of school. I noticed his tooth when he gave me a big smile after brushing his teeth and I saw that his teeny-weeny little bottom tooth was crooked so he let me touch it and it moved. He has been going through quite a big growth spurt lately and he has become very independent and a helpful little man of late. I’ve always enjoyed his company and now he holds quite an interesting conversation too. Leonardo was my first baby. Now, almost 6 years have gone by and I have a little man. It feels like yesterday that he taught me all about breastfeeding! Thank goodness he still has exactly the same giggle as he did when he first shared that magical giggle with us. It is infectious and delightful and still has a babyish sound to it.
